Khabarovsk Region’s gold output falls 3.5% to 24.5 tns in 2020
KHABAROVSK, Jan 27 (PRIME) -- The gold production of companies located in Russia’s Khabarovsk Region fell by 3.5% on the year to 24.5 tonnes in 2020, the region’s government said in a statement on Wednesday.
The companies are implementing investment projects for development of new gold ore fields and creation of new mining facilities to ensure sustainable development and to maintain production in the region, the government said.
In 2020, the tax payments of the mining companies to the region’s budget jumped by 37.6% to 9.9 billion rubles, with total investment in mining exceeding 34 billion rubles, the government added.
